Your First Visit to Dentistry on Brock

Your new patient appointment is an important time where we get to know you as an individual and understand your specific oral health needs. For most people, this first visit lasts about an hour. We respect your time; whatever your most pressing concern is, we’ll address it on the same day.

What to Bring

Please be sure to have a copy of your driver’s license, a list of any medications (including supplements or over-the-counter drugs) that you’re taking and your insurance or health card with you. If you’ve recently had dental X-rays taken at another office, please contact your previous provider to have them emailed to our practice.

Our receptionist will greet you at the front and answer any questions that you have. Plan to arrive about 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to complete your new patient forms. This information will help us better understand your unique health and dental background, plus curate care that’s appropriate to your medical needs.

After your information is processed, we’ll escort you back to a treatment room. Dr. Dave or our associate dentist will step in to review your concerns, medical history and discuss any pressing needs or concerns. Depending on your situation, we may decide to perform a comprehensive exam with a cleaning or more immediate emergency care.

As part of your exam, we’ll thoroughly evaluate your hard and soft tissues, occlusion (the way your teeth bite together), periodontal health, TMJ and screen for tooth decay. Our office utilizes digital X-rays and advanced CariVu cavity detection for early diagnosis and less-invasive treatments.

We’ll also review your dietary habits and prescribe an individualized oral hygiene plan to help you keep your smile healthy for life.

Our paediatric patients will get to pick a reward from our prize box before they leave!
